Session Fee

Your non refundable booking fee is required at the time of booking in order to reserve your session.  Your desired session is not reserved until the booking fee is received in full and clear.  If you cancel/reschedule with less than 48 hours notice, you forfeit your whole session fee and may not reschedule without a new session fee being paid. Re-scheduling may occur to save your booking fee if you give at least 48 hours notice and the session is rescheduled within 2 weeks of the original reserved date or if there is a family emergency or serious illness. I cannot always guarantee an available date within two weeks but will try my best to accommodate. Should I need to reschedule due to family emergency or illness the deposit will be fully transferable/refundable to the client. 

By paying this booking fee you are agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined in this contract.

Viewing Galleries

Your completed gallery will be ready for viewing within 2 weeks of your session. Edited images are uploaded to a password protected online viewing gallery which can be access for a 14 day period only. Within this 14 days you can view the images as many times as you like and download for you own use. These images are low resolution and should not be used for printing as the resolution will be of poor quality.  Upon viewing your images you have the option to then be able to add extra products. Please ensure that you download all images from the gallery within the 14 day period as there will be a reactivation fee of £15 should you need the gallery to be reopened. 

Products & Payment

All payments for package and extra products are due in full. Orders will not be processed until full payment is received and cleared. Products will be available for collection within 2 weeks of cleared payment. 

Photographer is not responsible for any damage of portraits after delivery to client. Client assumes all responsibility for the safety of all portraits upon receipt. 

Receipt of Portraits, Wall Art or other Products

All orders are presumed to have been received in good condition unless the Client notifies Kaaron McKinnon in writing of any discrepancy or error within 14 days of receipt.

Cooling off Period

All portraits, books, albums, frames, etc. are non-refundable. Orders cannot be cancelled due to the custom nature of the products. Orders are made to the Client’s personal specification, (i.e. image number, print size, frame style, etc.), the Client does not have the right to a cooling off period. By placing an order with Kaaron McKinnon you are committing to buy the ordered products.

Returns Policy

Incorrectly supplied items and items of poor quality can be returned and will be replaced at no extra charge to the Client. Returns will not be considered for incorrectly ordered items or items ordered in error.

Deleted Images

Images are stored for a period of 1 year after your gallery closes. 

Session Requests

Please inform Kaaron McKinnon Photography should you require Parent and or Sibling shots during your newborn Session. It is strongly advised that young siblings are brought to the session either at the start for the first 30 minutes then taken away, or at the end for the last 30 minutes. The studio is kept very warm for baby and does not provide adequate space for young children to be kept quietly entertained. This can affect the ambient environment required for a newborn session, if you have a family member that is available and able to help with this it is very much advised & appreciated. It is advised to come dressed in plain/neautral clothing that compliments each other. 

Client(s) will be responsible for themselves and their children and release photographer from any claims against their person or their business.

Sessions start at the agreed upon time. Clients arriving more than 30 minutes late will forfeit their session and NO refund will be given.

Use of Pictures/Model Release

In order to showcase my talents and portfolio as a photographer I require to use images online for the promotion of Kaaron McKinnon Photography. The images produced from your session may be used on Kaaron McKinnon Photography's Website/Facebook/Instagram pages and in promotional work such as special offer flyers/business cards handed out to the general public. Please make it clear on your booking form or to the photographer should you wish your images to remain private. 

Copyright & Reproduction

Copyright is retained by Kaaron McKinnon at all times throughout the world. No image can be copied, scanned or reproduced in any form whatsoever without the prior consent of Kaaron McKinnon. The Client may not alter, add to or manipulate a picture by any means or reproduce a picture in whole or in part as an element within, or as a montage with, another picture without Kaaron McKinnon’s written permission. Permission to print a picture for personal use (not commercial) is granted to the Client by Kaaron McKinnon only when digital negatives are purchased and paid in full by the Client to Kaaron McKinnon. 

Other

Cameras, mobile phone cameras and camcorders are NOT permitted during any session, in studio or on location without express permission from Kaaron McKinnon Photography.

Kaaron McKinnon shall be entitled to use her judgement regarding the style and artistic input in the production of pictures. This includes but is not limited to poses, props and the number of images taken. Due to the willingness of subjects it may not be possible to capture all the pictures requested, or images to the client’s full expectations. In the event of uncooperative children at a session of any kind, for any reason, Kaaron McKinnon may not be able to capture any, or all the images the Client may have requested or expected. The Client is responsible for all children at all sessions.
